(“Begone, Unbelief, My Savior is Near,” Newton, J., p. d. Sing to the tune of “O, Worship the King!”)

Into my fears. Into the tempter’s sneer that You aren’t with me, Emmanuel. That this suffering must mean You’re not pleased with me.

Into the storms of living in a fallen world. Into the tribulation of living in the “last days,” in this time of redemption, before Your already-planned final day of this groaning earth.

Luke 8:25

Begone unbelief, my Savior’s Word is true in my sorrow

My grief overwhelms. My weeping is exhausting. The losses are constant. So, I seek Your living and active Word today, Jesus.

Begone unbelief, through singing the blessing of Jesus Himself, within the suffering

Sister in Christ, you may have been told our suffering is God’s curse. You may have been told that we are not His “blessed” ones…because we’re suffering. He’s encouraged me deeply in His Word. We have God’s blessing of Jesus most profoundly BECAUSE we are suffering on earth! Within the suffering! His Word is so clear. Every moment of suffering and tribulation, I need to sing His truth to my grieving and hurting heart, body, and thoughts. He helps me re-trust Him over and over and over.

I’ve made a playlist to sing to Jesus this week, to help us both remember…we ARE His blessed ones, every moment of suffering. If this would encourage you as we both sing His gospel truth to “be gone, unbelief,” sign up below, and it will come to your email, with my love and prayers.
