Praise God for His healing work! Since becoming progressively ill and close to death, with God’s subsequent provision of a second lifesaving brain surgery and much neurological rehabilitation, I am now able to offer free workshops for suffering Christian women.

Each workshop is designed to equip women with biblical and musical “tools” to navigate suffering with deepened faith as they glorify God, all by His grace.

They offer practical, Scriptural, and heartfelt care and guidance for those facing trials and affliction, as I have over the last 35 years. Contact me to discuss and schedule.

Music and children’s directors, if you are interested in fostering “singing agency” in your congregations, I would love to come alongside you as well! See below for some of my academic presentations, based on my professional experience and research:

My research interest is in what I call “singing agency” or a “belief in one’s capacity to sing aloud” (Hogle, 2020) and how it’s fostered or hindered. How can music educators help? How can church musicians help?

How can we all experience singing Christ’s hope into suffering…if we don’t think we can sing? Have you ever noticed people who don’t sing in church? Why? My research as a music educator is beginning to offer reasons why and how we might be able to help others to sing, to the Lord.

Why does singing matter?

Because God gave all of us singing voices to praise Him! Throughout His Word, He instructs us to sing praise to Him. Have you discovered that, when you are singing Christ’s hope into suffering, He is helping your faith too? We must sing!

I Chron. 16:9 says “Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works!”

Here is some of my research, as I seek to discover how we can each find our voices to praise the Lord with Psalms, hymns, and Scriptural songs.
