Lord Jesus, our Prince of Peace,

and we feel like we’re drowning, calm me, and any Christian reading these words.

Settle us.

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you (Is. 26:3)

Peace by the cross of Jesus, past tense!

It’s only possible in the forever peace we have with our Father, the peace we have as one who’s already been justified by faith in You. Past tense!

Romans 5:1

“Peace, by His Cross, Hath Jesus Made,” Kent., J., p. d. Sing to the tune of “Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow,” Ken, T., 1674.

Jesus, You left Your peace with us. You gave Your peace to me and each of Your beloved ones.

John 14:27

Peace as we suffer, present tense! How?

Even when we feel anything but peaceful? When everything in this fallen world feels like un-peace? In this overwhelming suffering? Tribulation? How?

Still us, Lord Jesus, our Prince of Peace.

You gave Yourself for us, “delivered up” for our trespasses (Rom. 4:25 ESV).

Peace in who You are and where You are, present tense!

Help us to see You above the storms, Lord, now risen and reigning in glory! (Rom. 4:25)

1 Corinthians 15:25

When we worship You at Your glorious throne, You enable us to “let not [our] heart[s] be troubled.” Our fears subside, humbled, treasuring You. Please give us peace during this time of tribulation. It is certainly not “as the world gives” (Jn. 14:27), but it can only come from Your gift of bringing us into “the kingdom of God.”

Peace as we suffer, in the blessing of being born again, belonging to the Prince of Peace, present and future tense

John 3:3

Thank You, Jesus. In Your sovereign name, our Prince of Peace, amen.

Praying God's Blessings in Christ as We Suffer: Scripture Prayers for the Hardest Days

A calming playlist gift to pray-sing to our Prince of Peace, as we suffer

Are we both living through a time of tribulation in these last days? More than ever, my personal suffering also requires that I seek His true peace amid tribulation, as one of God’s blessed ones who are in Christ.

This week, I’m using a professionally curated, music therapy-inspired worship music playlist to pray-sing to Jesus. I am walking through so much stress-full stuff right now, threatening to increase my physical pain, that I know…I NEED to sing to the Prince of Peace who is “thy Peace” past, present, and future.

Sister in Christ, if it would help you to have this calming playlist, sign up below and I’ll send it to your email, with love and prayers.
