Thank you for your prayers. They are spot on! I have been through a divorce and remarriage. I have a difficult relationship with my daughter, who has had four children out of wedlock and is in bondage to substance abuse. She is my oldest and is living with my middle son, who is housing her and her two youngest sons. The father comes and lives with them, but will take off when he feels like it. My son is trying to be loving for the boys sake. I keep in touch with the two oldest girls. My youngest son has been struggling with substance abuse and grieving over a former fiancé who was killed while riding her bike. She was hit by a car three years ago. I’m thankful that my middle son is following the Lord, but he struggles with singleness and housing my daughter and two grandsons. I have a heavy burden for my children and grandchildren. I praise the Lord for your ministry and for others that God has used to keep me sane and in tune with Him. His Word and Songs of hope and praise fill my soul keeps me moving in joy most every day now. I’m learning to have a thankful heart in all circumstances. Thank you again for your ministry, Lauri!
Oh Julie, I’m walking alongside you in prayer for your children and grandchildren. This is a daily suffering for so many women here, aching for them to know Jesus as Savior and Lord, and for the suffering they too endure in this earthly life.
Hallelujah to our great and glorious God! He is “before all things, and in him all things hold together” (Col.1:17 ESV). We know He is at work, in ways we can’t see. You are so welcome…it’s such a joy to share His Word and music to encourage each of us here! God bless you, dear sister! My prayers are yours. 🙏🏼❤️

darkness through Psalm 18:28 “You, Lord, keep my lamp

Please pray for my daughter as her heart is softening towards God’s Word. Her boyfriend has left again and needs to stay out of her life and my son’s home. Pray God will give her the strength and wisdom to set the boundaries she needs to set for mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health!

Just received my copy of your devotional! It is very encouraging and I am enjoying the lyrics to all the older but precious hymns. What great reminders of God’s love and faithfulness. My husband is going through chemotherapy for advanced bladder cancer here in Dallas and we have just finished writing his autobiography, The Journey of A Legacy Man. We are now looking for an editor/publisher. Can you give us any suggestions as to who you used for your devotional as it is exactly what is our vision for his legacy to our descendants. Thanks so much!
Jane, may God’s sustaining grace and strength be abundant to you both right now as you seek healing of your husband’s body. What a treasure, what a beautiful project that you’ve created in this time of suffering. My heart leaps with the thought of how this book will be God’s gift to others, as I pray my book will be His encouragement to you both. I have lots of thoughts for you on the publishing process, too much to share here. Email me at singchristhope@gmail.com and let’s talk about it! God bless you both!

Dear Lauri,
I sent your Singing Christ’s Hope to my brother who is fighting cancer. His wife, Jane, saw your devotional and ordered it and has connected with you by email about publishing the book she has written. God is so good in how he connects His people to encourage each other. Your email arrived to Jane right after she had prayed telling God, “Help!”
Praying that you get rest this week for your body, soul and spirit.
The 29th of March I am going with my sister and brother-in-law to visit Dale & Jane in Dallas. We have not seen them in person for two years. We tend to vacation together.
God is using to bless many people for His glory!
Dearest Glenda, what a wonder of God’s full-circle encouragement! I’m daily praying that He simply puts any resource I share into the hands of those whom He knows would be blessed. I’m overjoyed about their book too and hope my advice helps, even as I pray for their cancer journey. Praise God you get to be together soon! Such beautiful and sweet time. May God shower you all with His abundant grace, sister. Thank you for sharing, to His praise and glory!

Carole, I am adding your needs to my prayer journal. Oh yes, one thing after another…this is the place where our Father daily brings us to a place of hope in who He is, isn’t it? For me, it’s always been when “the hits just keep on coming” and it seems like they may never end. Dear sister, I’m praying that He will provide relief and that His Word will bring you deep encouragement and His wisdom as you wait and deal with every moment. God bless you in all that God is giving you to do, dear sister! Love in Christ, Lauri

How I need your prayers for peace this week. The Prince of Peace has been with me and filled me.
On April 15, 2022, Good Friday morning, my daughter was shot three times at a Sunoco Gas Station in
Warren, MI. She was also robbed and carjacked. She is a living miracle. The shot in her stomach just
missed her spine. It was a miracle it did not hit major organs. It damaged some of intestines which
were repairable. She almost lost her right leg as she was shot twice in it. Her femur and tibia was
shattered and they had to take a vein from her left leg to get the blood flowing in her right leg. She is
out of ICU and has started PT and OT already. She is in a lot of pain. Please pray that she will be transferred to the rehab center in Detroit Receiving which is the hospital she is presently in. Also,
please pray that God will give her the strength and wisdom to remove herself from unhealthy relationships. Thank you for your wonderful ministry of encouraging prayers and songs!
Oh Julie! I’m joining you in prayer for your daughter and I’m sure other sisters here will do the same as they see your comment. I know Warren and the Detroit hospitals very well, having lived there. She will have good care. How I praise God with you for the miracles He did in all of this! Wow! And that He’s enabled you to see them as His powerful providence and tender mercy. Oh sister, our great God is at work, always! Let’s praise His glorious name into all of the hard, hard things. With much love in Christ, Lauri

Hello brethren greetings and invitation from me and my family and my church. We greet you in Jesus name. Our church is located in Kenya. We praise God because He has a purpose why we have been directed to contact to you to help us grow through the grace that God has bestowed in you and you are of great inspiration. Our local congregation which have brethrens who are 40 who are glad to have you as our mentor who can inspire us more because our prayer is that we need to grow in the word so that even us can spread the word before the second coming of Jesus Christ we welcome you with open heart to help us to grow because we are young growing which pray and request for spiritual teaching and Bibles to help us grow. Continue praying for this church and for the physical and spiritual need for God to open ways for them to be free from that bondage. Really good to be part of your church here in our county.
God bless you as we look forward to hear from you 🙏
May the great name of Jesus Christ be praised! Praying that the gospel of Christ crucified, the power of the gospel for salvation, be taught and these disciples be grown in His Word. Praying you have a strong partner church, for the physical support you need! God bless you!

Dear Sister, Please pray for me. I have had depression and anxiety off and on for 25 years. It has been especially difficult the last six months. I know that our God is sovereign and that He must put us in the fire of affliction to purify us and to wean us from the sinful trinkets of the world. God’s word tells us to pray unceasingly, also to pray for God’s will to be done as our Savior prayed to His Father in the Garden. I long to have a season of relief, especially now that Christmas is rapidly approaching. May the Lord be pleased to give me Grace if it is not His will to remove the depression and anxiety for a season. Thank you so much for this Christian Website
Dearest sister in Christ, I deeply understand, with all empathy. I will email you with some personal prayer support and Scripture He’s used to help me. Praying the music is a healing gift to you, as it is for me. With 🙏🏼❤️ to you in Christ, dear Katherine.
I am a friend of your daughter, Rachel. She was my violin teacher when she lived in Thomasville. I met you and your husband at her recital at FSU. She told me about this book, and I have read it on Kindle. I plan to order a hard copy, as well. It is very different from the typical self-help Christian books. When I read it, it resonated with a current issue I should like to discuss with you, but not here. I had attempted to contact you through Facebook messenger, but my guess is you do not check it.
Dearest June, I just emailed you so we can walk alongside one another in prayer…I’m in awe of how our Lord works to connect people! It’s utterly amazing, for that was years ago! Praying the book resources of Singing Christ’s Hope are helpful to you, along with the playlists and YouTube podcasts (and other suffering sisters in Christ). Yes, they are unique, but they are borne from how our God has gotten me through suffering. So, I pray it will be His work of healing and strengthening as you read the Scriptures, pray, and sing. God bless you, June!

Laurie,
Thank you for your ministry🤝 I hope that you will have a blessed Resurrection Sunday.
My wife Beth and I will be attending a Seder on Good Friday. There could be 20 saints present at our gathering – give or take. There is a brother who is usually part of this fellowship that there’s been a falling out with. Can you pray🙏that we would reconcile?
Scripture instructs us in 2 Corinthians 5:19 “God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.”
Chris, I am fervently praying that our great God will bring reconciliation as you share in the very meal Jesus ate before His act of reconciling us to our Father at the cross. We know this prayer is in accordance with God’s will for us as brothers and sisters in Christ. May He work mightily as He softens hearts and brings cleansing forgiveness and love. What a privilege to pray for one another in this way. I’m so glad you wrote. Grace and peace to you and Beth, Lauri

Dearest Lauri, I just want to let you know I am walking alongside you with spiritual songs and prayers of praise and supplication for your sustained strength and healing.
I just returned from Capernaum and the shores of the Sea of Galilee where we talked about the occasion where Jesus healed two women as told in Mark 5:21 and ff. At that very moment I was led to think of you and pray for God’s Almighty mercy and grace to be poured out on you as you go through this new chapter of suffering and upcoming surgery. You are in my prayers daily. May you continue in ever increasing faith, courage and hope with each new day all to the glory of our all wise and loving Lord Jesus Christ.
Thank you sharing your journey with us. With much love, Bonnie
Oh Bonnie, we have not yet had the wonder and joy of experiencing a trip to the places where Jesus actually walked. Perhaps after this brain surgery!! Imagining this place, reminded of this Scripture, knowing you prayed for me there? Oh dear sister in Christ, it is so humbling while being wrapped in His tangible arms of love this morning. All, all to His glory and praise. What a wonder. Thank you so much for your prayers and encouragement. So much love to you and I hope to be able to see and hug you soon, Lauri

Lauri,
I found a copy of your devotional “Near to God” at our local library for sale and I am hoping to start it in the New Year. We miss you at the university but understand that God’s plans are not our plans. Thank you so much for doing the work of God for so many. You are and will continue to be a blessing to all of us. Your Michigan music colleague, Thomas Blue
Tom, hi! What a wonder that the book was picked up by the library and that God brought it to you specifically! Praying it encourages you as God has with me.
I am still teaching, but only part time online and I’m so thankful to be able to do so! I miss being there too, but my body just can’t do it.
You are God’s incredible encouragement to me this morning! May His Word and songs fill your heart as we look to Jesus Christ!

Grace and peace☝️
Chris
